Goodnight Argent, a Pop/Alternative band based out of Pasco WA, has won the Grand Prize for the John Lennon International Songwriting Competition (Pop) for 2009. Out of tens of thousands of entries, their song Battlegrounds was deemed the best song in the Pop category by a panel of judges consisting of artists such as Fergie, The Veronicas, Natasha Bedingfield, Jessie Harris, and many others.
